Scituate Veterans Day parade set

SCITUATE - American Legion Post 19 will host the town of Scituate annual Veterans Day parade, Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The parade will form at Scituate Commons and Institute Lane at 10 a.m., and will step off at 10:30 a.m. from the corner of Institute Lane and Main Street.

The parade will proceed through the town to the steps of the Congregational Church at Scituate Commons on Route 116.

The Grand Marshal is Russell Adams.

Post Commander Richard Kanaczet will host the ceremonies.

The Rev. Dr. Pamela Gregory from the Trinity Episcopal Church will give the invocation and benediction.

The Rhode Island National Guard will provide a speaker. In the event of rain, the ceremonies will be held in the North Scituate Community House.
