Apple Blossom Garden Club meets Tuesday

SMITHFIELD - On Oct. 13, the Apple Blossom Garden Club celebrated fall with a workshop led by local florist Robin Rongione. Club members created fall floral arrangements.

Nominations for the annual Civic Beautification Award were held. This year's winner is Smithfield Commons. Presentation of the award will be held at a future meeting,

Two gardening books were donated to the Greenville Public Library. Additionally, on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m., the library will host the Junior Gardeners, who will be creating Thanksgiving decorations.

The next club meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Our Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 54 Cedar Swamp Road, at 6:30 p.m. John Emin of Seven Cedars Farm in Smithfield will conduct a workshop on decorating wreaths with natural materials. The workshop will also create wreaths for various town municipal buildings.
