DAR plans Greenville talk

SMITHFIELD - The Beacon Pole Hill Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution will meet Saturday, Nov. 28, at Greenville Public Library from 1 to 3 p.m.

The meeting is titled "Know Your Ancestors." The speakers will address stories about early settlers as well as Civil War ancestors.

Honorary Past Regent Jeanne Jeffries and Peter Jeffries will offer a Genealogy Workshop from 10 a.m. to noon at library, sponsored by the group. The public is invited to learn how to start genealogy as well as what to do when they "hit a stone wall."
